Small kitchen, big pots
Cooked in the morning
Masalas are ground and coconut is scraped every morning. Nothing is reheated from yesterday.
Fish from the harbour
We buy at Thoppumpady before 7 am. If the catch is poor, the fish dishes come off the board.
Fair to the kitchen
Our cooks get a weekly day off and a share of the service charge, and most have been with us for years.

Kind words
The fish meals tasted like my grandmother's kitchen in Alappuzha. Generous refills, and the staff were patient with our two noisy kids.
I come in most mornings before the 8:30 ferry. Appam and mutton stew, filter coffee, done in fifteen minutes.
Booked a table on WhatsApp the night before and it was ready when we arrived. The karimeen was the best thing we ate in Kochi.
